Label TextThere were 11 variations of an experimental process known as the "Chromatype" with contributions to its development by various early scientific experimenters, including Mungo Ponton, Edmond Becquerel and Robert J. Bingham. It is believed that this is an example the 6th variation of this evolving process and the one that was developed by Robert Hunt. Paper is sensitized with potassium dichromate and copper sulfate. Botanical specimens were then laid on the paper and exposed to light in a print frame. Image was developed in silver nitrate.
