The lady preacher is an evangelist; close followers of \ the church, called Saints wear white. She finds a simple \ black robe more in keeping with ecclesiastical dignity. \ Her income may be $15.00 to $150.00 a week. Compositely, \ she is shrewd and unlettered; is unmarried or the wife of a preacher; if successful, she may ride in a Packard. \ There is no middle ground -- it is either the Packard or \ the subway.
