well entrenched in caves on 'Suicide Ridge' on Peleliu Island.
Notice the torch in the center foreground, used for lighting the
"cocktails" and the flaming missile in the hand of the Marine
tossing it. These men fought for nine days before relief
arrived and they could go to a rear base for a much needed rest.
