Inscriptions verso-(printed label) "Thorwaldsen's Statue of Byron. Our stereograph
represents the statue of Byron by the famous Danish sculptor,
Thorwaldsen, as it stands in the Library of the Trinity College,
Cambridge. It was intended for the Poet's Corner, in Westminster Abbey
but was refused admittance on the ground of much of the poet's
writing being of an immoral, if not atheistical, tendency"
