Inscriptions (on separate typesheet accompanying print) "This photograph of a
woman in front of her painting is not sent for the print itself. It
was done before 1920 in San Francisco and I have no negative. BUT I
do have a 4x5 Lumiere positive in color of this woman, who is Lydia
Gibson and later was married to a man who was an artist on THE NEW
MASSES[.] If you want the transparency, I can find out the name. I
believe she now lives in Croton - on - Hudson."
(in pencil on same typesheet, refering to Lumiere positive) In Collection, among the Autochromes & other Lumiere plates - a gift from I. Cunningham 1960 [underlined] [See autochrome 1982:1707:0001]
