Inscribed in black in on separate matt, verso: Innards of Henry Cowell's \ Rhythmicon [underlined] (the rheostat, etc.) This was an instrument \ devised by H.C. using the electric eye to produce several simultaneous \ rhythms [sic] - 5 against 3 against 11 to the measure, for instance. \ It was built to his specifications by Leon Theremis in 1931.
