Inscriptions Inscribed in ink on verso, TC: Pyramid of Caius Cestius and the Old Engish Burial Ground. \ The Pyramid is 125 ft. high and 100 square. it is built into \ the wall of Honorius it is of white Marble it has two \ inscriptions on the East & West sides. C. Cestius. L. F. Pob. \ Epulo. Pr. Jr. Pl. VII Vir. Epulonum. The other on \ the side facing Ostia. records the completion of the \ Pyramid in 330 days. -Opus Absolutum. ex. \ testamento diebus. CCCXXX Arbitratu- ponti. \ P. P. Cla. Melae. Heredis et Pothi- \ The base is buried 16 feet- The towers are \ those of the Gate of of the the Porta di San Paolo
