Inscribed in black ink on mount, L: B 251 They were begun in 212 by Caracalla, extended by Heliogabalus, and \ completed by Alex. They could accommodate 1600 bathers at once. \ The magnificence of these baths was unparalleled. Numerous statues, in- \ cluding the Farnese Bull, mosaics etc have been found here.
