Inscribed in black ink on mount, L and R: B. 41 Colonna Vittoria or Colonna di Martiri in the triangular \ Piazza de Martiri, a lofty column of marble decorated with \ trophies, and crowned with a Victory in bronze, erected in 1864 to \ the memory of the patriots who have perished during different \ Neapolitan revolutions. The 4 lions at the base in different \ pastures represents the 4 principle revolutions at Naples.
