Related Object Info Nus 100 photogravure prints of nude female figure studies in a red, leather-bound book cover. A variety of models are set against draperies, rugs, and other rich fabrics to add texture to contrast against smooth flesh. Completely nude with the exception of a few jewelry items and head decorations - to create quintessentially 1920s-era styles - the nude bodies are positioned into athletic and sensual shapes. Captured with a moderately soft focus, the images are painterly and often sculpturesque. Each page is numbered with a roman numeral in the bottom right corner. The album was published by the Librairie des Arts Décoratifs in Paris, and it is in fair condition with noticeable wear along the bookbinding and the string that ties the covers together. Pencil inscriptions inside the folded paper cover page indicate previous owners.
