Inscriptions recto (black marker): Cole Weston holds up THE negative of "Pepper #30." This was E.W's best-seller-he made / 12 prints of this negative before 1954 & it is still the hottest item. In the background is the / fire-proof vault, build in 1954, in whihc the negatives are stored - including Peppers 1-29 / and 31 [arrow]. What a thrill to see IT!
