DescriptionThe first of five related suites containing a total of 88 salted paper and albumen silver prints and 124 waxed paper negatives made in Normandy, France, around 1855. Accompanied by contemporary captions, the first suite consists of 48 negatives and 16 prints depicting architectural monuments in Rouen, Louviers, and Caen, including cathedrals, churches, municipal buildings, and street scenes.
