[Translation: An early daguerreotype portrait, since Vincent Chevalier died on November 29, 1841. I found this daguerreotype without frame, with its passe-partout only and having on the back this label of Vincent Chevalier, father of Charles Chevalier. The plate, rather thick, is not beveled.]
