Entry 624 in Mackay's notebook (located in library): Very unusual 1/6 size ambrotype on purple glass. Man with very full black beard and extremely tall white or light tan high-hat for summer & white shirt without usual vest. He holds a small black spaniel, resting on table. Ambrotype by Keenan, 2nd AB. South St. Philada. Pa. Very amusing ambrotype. From Emerson, 454 Clapier St. Germantown, Pa. 1.50
