Inscribed on blue backing paper in ink (Cromer's hand) on verso, TL: On voit encore les boutiques sur le \ Pont-Neuf, et la pompe Notre Dame; \ Notre Dame est entouré d'échafaudages \\ Appareil présenté à l'Institut le \ 23 Juin 1845. \ La présente épreuve, qui représente justement \ l'Institut devait faire partie des vues \ accompagnant la présentation.
