Arago vient \ d'annoncer à l'Académie que M. Tiesson [sic] a trou- \ vé le moyen d'exécuter à coup sûr des portraits \ photographiques qui ne laissent rien à désirer. \ Plusieurs des portraits obtenus par le procédé de \ M. Tiesson [sic] ont été soumis à l 'Académie, qui en a \ admi[ré la perfe]ction.

[Translation: Until now, the success of the daguerreotype portrait was far from always succeessful. Monsieur Arago announced to the Academy that Monsieur Thiésson has found a surefire way of making daguerreotype portraits that leave nothing to be desired. Several portraits made by Monsieur Thièsson's process have been submitted to the Academy who admired its perfection. La Mouche, 3 Sept 1844]
