Inscriptions verso-(in ink) "420916-2" (printed label) "Talbotypes taken, plain or
colored, at the artist's emporium, No. 37 North Sixth Street,
Philadelphia. Persons desirous of having a CORRECT LIKENESS either
single or in groups, can obtain them by leaving their Daguerreotype at
the above place with a description of the color of the eyes, hair and
general complexion.
The advantages of the Talbotype over most other PORTRAITS is that they
can be seen in any light, are permanent..."
