"HAIL TO THE CHIEF-President Harry S. Truman beams at a cheering crowd at St. Louis' Union Station on Nov. 4, 1948, as he holds an early copy of the Chicago Tribune with its erroneous headline: "Dewey Defeats ruman." Truman told the crowd, 'that is one for the books."
