Pacific island serves as a baptismal fount for servicemen, some about
to undergo their baptism of fire against the Japs. Here, Chaplain
Harold G. Saunders baptizes Coast Guardsman Farley Archer, of Los
Angeles, Calif. Approximately 30 servicemen are baptized each Sunday
in this picturesque setting while the voices of the base choir add impressiveness to the service.
