Inscriptions mount-recto (printed label) "In and Around Peking. A description of
views taken by Thos. Child. No. 93. View of Peking. This view is taken
from the tower of the new Catholic Cathedral in the east of the City.
It is taken looking westward, and shows the Palace buildings in the
Forbidden City, and all other places between; the whole being backed
by the Western Hills. There being no high buildings in Peking, such a
view could not be obtained from any other position."
