DescriptionContains collotype (albertype) photomechanical prints of faculty, class members, groups and campus views. A printed introduction explains that this album was conceived in 1890 by class member James Lyman Fisk and printed after his sudden death in 1893. There are 6 pages of small (5.5 x 4 cm.) portraits of faculty members, printed 15 per page, followed by 16 pages of student portraits, some retouched, also formatted 15 images per page. Included also are 22 team photos, posed outdoors or in a studio in front of a painted backdrop. These include football, baseball, lacrosse, crew, and cricket teams, as well as brass band and glee club, and an image of the 1885 Harvard-Yale baseball game. Also included are 35 views of buildings on campus and in Cambridge, including an overview from the tower at Memorial Hall. Album is in fair condition with some damage to interleaving pages and to front cover. Title stamped in gold on cover. 28.5 x 36 cm.
