DescriptionAlbum containing commercial photographic views, many large format, tacked down by corners to blue-tinted album pages. While the title on the cover is "Sorrento, Baden-Baden, Lucerne" there are relatively few images of these locales. There are some inscriptions in pencil that identify the images, but many lack identification. The later part of the album contains images of many cathedrals in Great Britain, including Salisbury, Wells, Worcester, Hereford, Glouster, Winchester, Lichfield, Canterbury, Lancaster, Bristol, as well as ruins of Glastonbury Abbey and Tinturn Abbey. Many of these are by George Washington Wilson. These are preceded by views in Italy (Amalfi, Ravello) and several views of the Temple of Neptune in Paestrum. Also included is a view of the Synagogue in Prague and the Jewish City Hall, which are accompanied by a modern, typed label attached to the page. Album is in good condition. The cover is dark blue morocco paper with a blue leather binding. The title is debossed in gold on cover.
