DescriptionContains one hundred eighty-five albumen silver print cartes-de-visite portraits of well-known individuals of the Second Empire in France (1852-1870), including royalty and nobility, ministers, senators, clergy, and military, along with men and women artists. Bound in brown decorated leather stamped in gilt and blind with monogram NL and imperial coat-of-arms in gilt.

[Translation: This album, stamped with the arms of the Emperor, apparently comes from one of his relatives. It contained a certain number of portraits; I have completed it, by reorganizing it, with other figures of the period.]
