DescriptionAlbum consists of 20 x 15 cm. albumen print views of scenery in Yosemite Valley California, mounted on a plate block on heavy board. First 12 views are vertical format, followed by 13 horizontal views. Images at the beginning and end of the album have deteriorated, but most of the photographs in the album are in good condition. Many of the images have the word "Helios" printed through from the negative, and there is a small printed label in the corner of each page, which includes the title (either printed or hand-written in ink), Muybridge's name and that of the Cosmopolitan Gallery of Photographic Art in San Francisco. Album is overall in good condition, however, front cover is separated. Cover and spine are stamped in gold with the name of the Photographic Society of Philadelphia.
