DescriptionDisbound album containing 50 albumen silver carte-de-visite portraits of sculptor Richard Cockle Lucas posed and costumed as various characters, including multiple Shakespearean characters. Title is inscribed on pencil on the first page and each image contains a caption inscribed in pencil. Covers are missing and nearly every page is detached. Two have the portion of the sleeve with the title detached and tucked into mount. The CDV on page 9, As an Angel of Peace, is missing. An extra CDV, As a Poet he Invokes, was removed from behind As a Necromancer on page 41.
