This picture of the Sacred Heart Church
gives you some idea of the old Romano
Byzantine style of architecture
The church was commenced in 1876. From its
towers on a clear day one gets a fine view of Paris
and its surrounding country for a distance of over
f[illegible]ty miles. In the bell tower there is the second
largest bell in the world.
Several times I have been in the Sacred Heart
Church and each time have seen something of real
interest. I have also been in the crypt
underneath where I saw some very old relics of
great interest, such as vestments, altars, candlesticks, etc.
