TextView of the ship which is absolutely quiet. The Haganagh guards empty and cordon the area around the beach, and they are relaxing in deck chairs on the beach facing the ship. In the foreground are the ships of the U.N. and the radio station which is manned by American crew. While the U.N. transmitter is feverishly working from the till then quiet ship, the loudspeaker opens up, exhorting the people of Tel-Aviv and telling them that they come with much needed arms for the under equipped Jewish Army.

Rebellion by the terrorist Jewish organization, Irgun Zvei Leumi, against the provincial Government of Israel was fought out on the beaches of Tel Aviv against a background of flames from a burning arms ship. Irgun Commandos stormed the waterfront 50 yards from UNO's truce H.Q. Under the first impact, Israel troops withdrew. Then machine guns racked the beach. Artillery pounded the ship and she caught fire. The attack was repulsed by Israel troops.
