Another Navy tradition is fulfilled as a submariner, who has just ended/ a war patrol aboard his sub with an advancement in rating, flies through the/ air and into the drink having been ejected over the side of his vessel by/ shipmates in honor of the occasion. The completion of successful war patrols/ by submariners of Uncle Sam's "Silent Service" are always notable for hilarity/ and boisterous fun when th ese [sic] subs return to their Pacific base./
