NAZI CLIFF[illegible] BY RANGERS - On the heights of this cliff/ a Nazi gun emplacement commanded a vital sector of a French beach.../ before D-Day. Then, at the assigned moment, U.S. Army Rangers struck./ Climbing the narrow ladder in the center of the picture with stealth/ and speed, they 'immobilized' the German gun crew, saved countless/ lives and tons of shipping and material./
