NUN RESCUED FROM WALLED CITY BY U.S. TROOPS--Bandaged hands clasped in
a prayer of thanksgiving, her burned and begrimed face alight with a smile,
a Filipino nun walks away from the Walled City of Manila following her
rescue by American soldiers. The nun and hundreds of other hostages were
extricated from the stronghold on February 26, 1945.
