MISS IS NEARLY AS GOOD AS A HIT!--The tremendous concussion of this bomb
explosion is almost as damaging to the underwater sections of this Jap
merchantman as a direct hit would be. Smoke indicates that an earlier
attack hit home during a sortie by Navy carrier-based planes in Lapog
Bay, Luzon, P.I. on January 6, 1945. [cancelled, "MISS IS NEARLY" . . . "1945."]
