Inscriptions The Collector, Donald Weber, inscriptions in pencl on (new) sealing tape:

No plate mark / sides are hand cut and flat with square corners, upper right and ower left.

Corners are crimped by a plate holding device. This exquisite portrait most likely made by John Whipple, Boston, ca. 1848-50.
