Applied newspaper clipping on verso, BC: EX-MINISTER KILLS HIMSELF \ Antonin Proust's Quarrel With the Singer \ Rosita Maure Leads to Suicide. \ Paris, March 22.-Antonin Prous, min- \ ister of fine arts in the Gambetta Cabinet, \ died to-day as the result of two shots in \ the head, self-inflicted. \ He had long been a victim of melan- \ choly, which is believed to have been in- \ tensified recently by differences with Rosita \ Maure, the celebrated dancer of the opera, \ with whom he had been closely associated. \ She dined at his apartments Monday \ evening, the tragedy following shortly \ after her departure.
