A great conglomeration of stars and dark nebulae is found in/ the southern part of Centaurus. Lanes of dark material obscrure/ part of the stars and produce an almost three-dimensional/ effect. Several emission nebulae are present to the upper left,/ and the bright star (lower middle) is m Cen (HR5041, 4m5,/ G5 III-Iv). The photo was taken in red light./
