Inscriptions Typed in black ink on applied label on verso, BC: 9-61 3) "PRIME MINISTER OF THE WORLD:" the U.N.'s Secretary General \ DAG HAMMARSKJOLD earned the right to such sobriquets as have never before \ been accorded one man. He was, in effect, a kind of cabinet minister \ responsible to that international parliament, the United Nations. As such, \ he was violently attacked by Premier Khrushchev for his policy on the \ Belgian Congo. This picture shows him in a moment of utter fatigue during \ a Security Council debate on the United Nations actions in the Congo. \ Credit: Inge Morath © 1961 MAGNUM PHOTOS
