DescriptionAccordian-bound, souvenir album with ten albumen silver photographs, Cabinet-card format (14 x 9.5 cm.) of costumed actors in the Oberammergau Passion Play (Passionspiel). These are mounted one per page in a fold-out album. Each image is identified by the name of the actor and by the role and include, in sequence: Joseph Mayer (Jesus Christ), Anastasia Krach (Mary), Johann Zwink (the apostle and evangelist, John), Jacob Hett (Peter), Gregor Lechnor (Judas), Sebastian Lang Jr. (Nathanael [Annas], the High Priest), Johann Lang Sr. (Caiphas, the High Priest), Thomas Rendl (Pontius Pilate), Martin Oppenrieder (Joseph of Arimathea), and Franz Steinbacher (Nicodemus). Images are somewhat faded, album is overall in good condition, covered in red cloth with gold lettering on cover.
