Inscriptions typed on applied label affixed to verso, C: (FO) / S-5240 / Regions of the United States -the Northwest \ 2. This little mining town -- Creede, in Colorado -- was \ one of the many "ghost towns," abandoned when it seemed \ no longer profitable to work the local veins of ore. \ Wartime demands for metals -- in this case, lead -- \ have resulted in the reopening of mines throughout the \ Rocky Mountains, and/many [sic] towns like Creede are busy \ again.
