Vitalik Morkasef, Zelenogradsk Russian Orthodox Church, Kaliningrad

The Russian Orthodox Church originated at the end of the 10th century when missionaries from Byzantium converted Vladimir the Great to Christianity. It was the dominant faith of the Russian people and State, until the early 20th century when

Communist ideology denied the existence of God. Since Communism, the church has enjoyed a revival. Most Russian adults now consider themselves to be Russian Orthodox.
