DescriptionThis unbound album consists of 86 matte gelatin silver photographs, mounted 2 per page. The first 60 images document the interiors of rooms at "Camp Hutridge," the Adirondack retreat of Mrs. E.F. Hutton (General Foods heiress, Marjorie Merriweather Post, second wife of E. F. Hutton married in 1920 and divorced in 1935). Each is captioned with a typed label placed under the image, and include among others interiors, the living room, dining room, sitting room and nursery, most documenting a stylized rough-hewn look decorated with taxidermied specimens and some Mission Oak furnishings. All have rubber stamps identifying the Museum of the City of New York, from which the album was received in 1969. The next series of 16 gelatin silver photographs are of the residence of E.L. Young at Glen Cove Long Island, followed by 4 interiors of the residence of Mrs. F.W. Woolworth at Glen Cove Long Island. The final 6 images are interiors views at the Rosslyn Long Island home of Mrs. E.F. Hutton.

Album is in fair condition, though the boards are brittle and some corners are bent and detached. Most of the images are in very good condition with a few serious deteriorated exceptions.
