DescriptionContains seventy-eight albumen silver prints depicting portraits of 19th-century composers, musicians and stage actors. All are identified with a pencil inscription on the page. Subjects include Edwin Booth, John Wilkes Booth, Edwin Forrest, Edward Askew Sothern, James William Wallack, Lester Wallack, Gioachino Antonio Rossini, Agostino Susini, Giuseppe Verdi, Felix Mendelssohn, Ludwig van Beethoven, Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart, Louis Moreau Gottschalk, Mrs. Crawford, Mrs. J. H. Allen, Mrs. Sedley Brown, Madame Colson, Miss Fanny Stockton and Mrs. George Jordan. There are also three portraits of children from the Holman family in the middle section including a boy with a drum. The binding is broken and the gilt-edged boards are attached together in sections.
