Troy, New York, Roseanne, 47, was in between places to live, when her old friend Debbie, who is a mother of six and works as a kitchen supervisor at an assisted living facility, needed a live-in babysitter.

Roseanne moved into Deb’s basement five years ago and is now officially called “the nanny.” She recently became a grandnanny when her youngest daughter had a baby girl.

Now Roseanne babysits her own granddaughter and Deb’s five kids. Here, she, her daughter and grandbaby spend the night in the basement bedroom as they often do.
