In 1989 year the communist regime for the first time let people enter the air base for the aeronautic show. The giant plane -Mrija- was also shown here. When I saw this man with only one leg I made a quick decision to photograph him together with the plane above in the sky. He seemed to be the victim left behind on the way towards this ultimate achievment[sic] circling in the sky...He was actually one of us.
