Inscriptions printed in black ink on applied label affixed to verso, C: The first picture ever taken of an audience from the stage of \ the Radio City Music Hall in Rockefeller Center, New York. \ The camera is looking at 6,200 persons seated in the auditorium \ of the largest theatre in the world. At the time of making the picture, \ at 1:30 in the afternoon, immediately following the first showing of \ the feature, 437 people were standing, making a total audience of \ 6,637 awaiting the beginning of the stage show. The picture was made \ from an elevated platform in the center of the stage using a special \ film developed by the Eastman Kodak Company, eight times faster than \ the fastest film now available, and arranged through the courtesy of \ the Museum of Science and Industry in conjunction with the opening of \ its permanent exhibit in Rockefeller Center. \ This will give you an idea of what a Music Hall Rockette thinks \ about while dancing on the largest stage.
