Inscriptions printed in black ink on label affixed to mount recto, BC: AUBURN'S OLD CITY HALL. \ This building faced North Street at the junction of Franklin and \ Market Streets. Osborne & Co. shops at \ Genesee and Mechanic Sts. The draft-horses were eventually succeeded \ by a "dummy-engine" and a railroad trestle that bordered Owasco \ Outlet later took over the burden of routing the cars from near State \ Street on Garden to the point where they entered a brick tunnel ad- \ joining Simon's barber shop to cross Genesee Street to Mechanic St. \ Before Genesee St. was opened (between Market and State Streets) \ (About 1800) village business centered about the Market, North and \ Franklin St. junction where all traffic, east, west, north and south \ was obliged to pass in crossing Owasco Outlet on the old North St. \ Bridge that stood a short distance east of the present bridge.; inscribed in pencil on mount verso, RC: WC Case \ 73 So.
