Inscriptions Typed in ink on slip of paper placed behind photograph: (Statues). The New York World's Fair, N.Y. taken by someone about 1940. Possibly by "A.T.") A. Thomas Nelson on a misty day in Sept. 1940 as I find this to be one of four among our negatives. They always did say Nelson could get what was not there: he did this kind of work for others by mixing special developer and choosingthe proper paper for the print; a painstaking job to which a printer could not and would not have paid special attention. See 3 1/4 x 3 7/8 print of fountains playing at night for more information.
