Inscriptions Typed in ink on slip of paper placed behind photograph: The home of the president of Drew Theological Seminary at (Madison?) N.J. No one had been able to get a satisfactory picture of the president's home when the foliage was out. This made a fine cut also, which they wanted.
Taken by A. Thomas Nelson about 1925 when photographer for the Board of Home Missions and Church Extension of the M.E. Church where Mr. Nelson had a darkroom and office on the third floor.
The Wesley Bldg. where this organization was located is at 17th and Arch Streets, Philadelphia. The first six floors were the Board offices with entrance on the 17th Street side. They owned the building and built the Robert Morris Hotel above with entrance on Arch Street. (The Bell Telephone Co. wanted the building done there for them, but for some reason the Board turned that down.)
