Inscriptions Typed in ink on slip of paper placed behind photograph: Store on the north side of Euclid Avenue, Cleveland, Ohio, decorate for a World War I parade. Taken by A. Thomas Nelson about 1917 or 1918. Located south of 18th St. across but in the vicinity of Higbees or Haleys. I did know the name as they handled things (more French) that I liked.
With A.T. along I selected my one-piece sport dress here. I would have selected the white top peach platted skirt but A.T. said I looked much better in the same style with the magenta plaited skirt, (shown at Shaker Lake at Grandma Price's and other places with white hat and parasol, the last one I had, from Norwalk. I was always glad I got the dress with the magenta skirt as I realized afterward I was always too conservative for my own good. A man is often a better judge.
