Inscriptions Typed in ink on slip of paper placed behind photograph: Double exposure of the finish of a race at Havre de Grace, Md. Taken by A. Thomas Nelson from within the stand, about 1930 to 1932, with a 1A Speed Camera with focal plane shutter taking a picture up to 1000th of a second and equipped with a 4.5 (I think Tessar) lens. The horses hoofs are sharp as seen with a magnifying glass. Eddie Arcarc and Willie Shoemaker, young riders then, rode in these races but only one print is marked and that is not the same on the reverse side. See the print of the approach to the double deck bridge where the Susquehanna joins the Delaware River for further information.
