DescriptionBook with partially unbound pages. Pages with plates have been removed from the book causing much of the text block to be loose in the binding. Plates 13 and 40 are missing. Book documents the travels of His Royal Highness Prince Albert, consort of Victoria, Queen of Britain beginning in 1862. Images show views of Egypt, Palestine, Lebanon, Syria, Constantinople, and Athens. Each plate is numbered and titled on the page. Text also numbered to accompany each plate. Cover is blue sand-grain cloth over bevelled boards with gilt lettering and stamping. Cover has ornamental border enclosing a large gilt stamp of the arms of Jerusalem. The decorative boarder appears blind stamped on the back cover.
