Inscriptions Inscribed in blue ink on verso, C: McCall's used to have \ inside "covers" for \ "Homemaking" & "Style & \ Beauty" sections. This was \ a "Homemaking" cover. \ A funny story goes \ with it. The layout \ called for persian cats - \ They found a family of \ them & the sitting was \ [illegible] (working with \ animals.) The big-shots \ at McCall decided they \ should be alley cats, not \ pedigreed. The mother \ here didn't belong to the \ kittens, which also were \ not related to each other. \ One [illegible] & Mama jumped \ the enclosure, not to be enticed \ out for 2 days. Luckily the \ shot was OK --
